Kay was born on May 17, 1959 in Lubbock. She worked for years as a fragrance representative, starting in California, then moving to the Slaton area, working at Dillard’s for more than 20 years. She never met a stranger and had a big heart. Mostly, she loved being Gigi.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Doris Parrish, and her brothers, Gary Don Parrish and Bobby Veitch.
Kay is survived by her husband, Russell Bounds of Slaton; her daughter, Rachel Garcia and her husband, Arnold of New Home; her son, Erick Chapman and his wife, Melissa of McKinney; and her grandchildren, Ashlyn and Brynn Chapman, and Quinn, Reese, Lucy, and June Garcia.
