LaVerne Frances Heintze, 89, of Slaton, passed from this earth to go to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, October 8, 2020.
A graveside service will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2020, at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service.
LaVerne was born November 23, 1930 in Thorndale, Texas to Hugo and Adele Wuensche. She moved with her family to Wilson at the age of nine. She married Raymond Heintze in Wilson on November 20, 1949. LaVerne was a loving Sister, Mom, and Grandma. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and give her advice to her family and friends. She loved taking pictures with her camera of her family members, animals and nature. She also enjoyed wood crafting, crafts, and cake decorating. She was a wonderful cook and her rice pudding and brown beans were loved by many.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Mildred Schafer; and her brother, Bill Wuensche.
LaVerne is survived by her sons, Larry Heintze and wife, Teresa of Lubbock and Dennis Heintze of Slaton; her sister, Allyne Talkmitt of Slaton; two grandchildren, Ryan Heintze and fiancé, Ashley of Lubbock and Crystal Heintze Terrell and husband, Chris of Columbus, Nebraska; and two great-grandchildren, Rachel Adele Terrell and Adam Ray Terrell, also of Columbus, Nebraska; as well as many nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.
