Leandro Martinez, 95, of Tahoka, passed away Tuesday September 7, 2021.

Rosary will be said 6:00 pm, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Englunds.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday, September 10, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Slaton.  Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service. 

Leandro was born March 13, 1926 in Satin, Tx. to Enrique and Petra Martinez. He served in the U. S. Army starting in 1945 and married Pauline Garcia on April 27, 1946 in Waco.  He farmed for many years in Slaton and Tahoka area and retired in 1990.  Leandro loved to travel.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Joe Martinez; his sisters, Leana DeAnda, Ramona Garcia, and Cecilia Torres; and his brother, Enrique Martinez, Jr. 

Leandro is survived by his son, Leandro Martinez, Jr. of Tahoka; his sister, Jessie Limon of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
