Linda Dell Davis, 86, of Weatherford, passed away on June 25, 2025


Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Englunds Chapel. Graveside Services will be at 10:30 am on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.


Linda was born on January 15, 1939 to James F. Davis, Sr. and Ethel Belle Davis.  She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1957. Linda attended and graduated from Texas Tech University with honors in 1961. She married Max Merrill Winn in 1990. Linda was a private accountant and founding member of The Women’s Investment Club. She was also a massage therapist. Linda always had a beautiful smile. She was known as a caring, giving person and was always helping people. She resided in Lubbock until moving to Weatherford in 2015. Linda was a lover of the arts, and enjoyed going to the theater and to opera performances. She also enjoyed traveling.  She was a member of Holders Chapel Methodist Church in Cool, Tx.


She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, James F. Davis, Jr. and her nephew, Roy Jim Davis.


Linda is survived by her niece, Vicki Jan Benton and her husband, Michael Ray of Weatherford; her step-son, J.Y. Winn  and his wife, Evelyn of Lubbock; her grandsons, Christopher Winn and his wife, Rachel, Brain Winn and his wife, Marie; and three great-grandsons.
