Obituary
Linda Schneider, 79, formerly of Slaton, passed away in San Angelo on Sunday, January 8, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Viewing will be 2:00-6:00 pm Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Englunds followed by a visitation 6:00-7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Thursday, January 12, 2022 at Englunds Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Linda was born on September 15, 1943 in Brazoria, Texas to George and Hazel Polk. She was the third born and oldest girl of 13 children. Linda had one daughter Martha. She married Charles Schneider on January 9, 1970. Linda worked for Slaton ISD in the school cafeteria and retired in 1998 after 20 years of service. She decided retirement was not for her, so she went back to school and continued to work.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Martha Martin; her brothers Glen, Robert, Troy, Kenneth and John and her sisters, Martha and Laquita.
Linda is survived by her brothers Larry and Virgil; her sisters Emma, Salena and Jonita; her grandchildren Richard Martin, Summer (Jerry) Summers, Kindl (Jason) Holthaus, Amber (Chad) Tripp, Matilda Hoeg, Mark (Layne) Cameron and Lindsay (Jeremy) Self and 16 great grandchildren.
