Lora Jones, 84, of Lubbock, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022.

Viewing will be 11:00am-6:00pm Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Englunds, followed by a visitation from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Church of Christ at 7802 University.  Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Lora was born on January 18, 1938 in Chillicothe to Hubert Lee and Alma Rae Cannon. She married Clabern Jones in March of 1967 in Lubbock and they celebrated 42 years of marriage before his passing. She was a homemaker most of her life and retired after 15 years as a dispatcher from Preston Smith International Airport. She loved bowling, tending to her flowers and making flower arrangements.   She especially enjoyed crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her infant daughter, Lori Dee Jones; her sister, Velma Rutherford; and her brothers, Braxton and Homer Cannon.

Lora is survived by her sons, Clay Bartley and his wife, Denise of Lubbock and Ernest Jones of Lubbock; her brother, Cecil Cannon and his wife,  Linda of Mart; her grandchildren, Heather Lester and Nathan Bartley; and her great-grandchildren, Eerowyn Bartley and Emersyn Jean Lester.
