Manuel Hernandez, Jr.

Manuel Hernandez,64, of Slaton, passed away January 15, 2020.

Rosary will be said 6:00 PM Sunday, January 19, 2020 in Englunds Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 20, 2020, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton.  Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Manuel was born October 9, 1955 in Slaton to Manuel Sr. and Carolina Hernandez. He graduated from Slaton High School in 1975.  He was a warehouseman at McLane’s for many years. Manuel enjoyed listening to music, old cars and westerns.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Manuel is survived by his daughters, Yvonne Ashley and husband. Clay of Lubbock and Bianca Martinez and husband, Dustin of Florence, SC; his son, Aaron Plumley and wife, Tricia of Amarillo; his mother, Carolina Hernandez of Slaton; his sisters, Nancy Salazar and husband, Arasmo of Lubbock and Susana Garcia and husband, Ish of Brownfield; his brothers, Johnny  Hernandez of Saginaw, Chris Hernandez and wife, Diane of Slaton, Lorenzo Hernandez and wife, Liz of Slaton, Alex Hernandez and wife, Martha of Coppell and Tony Hernandez and wife, Lisa of Lubbock; and nine grandchildren.
