Margaret Maeker

Margaret Maeker, age 84, of Lubbock, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Thursday, December 12, 2024 at San Ramon Catholic Church in Lubbock. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery.  Private family viewing only. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Margaret was born on December 21, 1939 to Elmo and Mary Louise Low in Laredo and was raised in Weslaco. She married Lynn Maeker on August 18, 1960.  She was a member of San Ramon Catholic Church. Margaret enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader and was passionate about rescuing animals.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Lynn; her daughter, Kristi Cameron and her husband, Ray of Panhandle; her son, Andy Maeker and his wife, Monica of Lubbock, her brother, Bill “Butch” Low and his wife, Jackie of Texas City; her grandchildren, Jacob Cameron, Laura Maeker, Jenny Torbert and her husband, Jacob, and Kari Payan and her husband, Gabriel; and her great-grandchildren, Kambri and Hadley Cameron and Lionel, Simon, and Ivy Jean Payan.
