Maria Ramirez Federico, 78, of Spearman, passed away in Amarillo on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Viewing will be 11:00 am - 6:00 pm Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Englunds, followed by a Rosary Service at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slaton.  Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Maria was born on August 8, 1946 in Robstown, Texas to Oscar and Rosa Rojas. She moved to Plainview in 1962 and then to Slaton in 1970. She married Armando Ramirez, Sr.  When he passed away in 1997, she moved to Bryan, where she lived for about five years, before returning to Slaton. She met and married Frank Federico and sadly, he also passed later. It was at this time that she decided to move to Spearman, which is where she has lived ever since. While she lived in Slaton, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved spicy food, cooking, gardening and taking care of her plants. Music was something she enjoyed as well.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Armando Ramirez, Sr.; her son, Armando Ramirez, Jr.; her son, Reymundo Ramirez; her husband, Frank Federico; her sister, Evelina Luna; and her brothers, Oscar Rojas, Jr., Ruben, Eddie, and Shine Rojas.

Maria is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Navarro and her husband, Sonny of Bryan, and Maria Schniers and her husband, Dustin Hardin of Lubbock; her sister, Mary Ramirez of Slaton; her brother, Daniel Rojas of Spearman; Seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
