Maria Lupe Valenzuela

Maria Guadalupe “Lupe” Valenzuela, 87, of Anton, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022.

Viewing will be 11:00am-6:00pm Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Englunds followed by a Rosary Service at 6:00 pm.  Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Englunds Chapel in Slaton. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Lupe was born August 23, 1935 in Colonia Esperanza Chihuahua, Mexico to Pablo and Margarita Espinoza. She married Fidencio Valenzuela on March 26, 1959 in San Ignacio, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sister, Andrea Esqueda.

Lupe is survived by her daughters, Rosario Valenzuela and Gerald Arredondo of Slaton and Margarita De Lira of Oklahoma City, OK; her sons, Jose Antonio Valenzuela and his wife, Veronica of Lubbock, Lorenzo Valenzuela and his wife Ysidra of Allen, and Santos Valenzuela and his wife, Silvia of Amarillo; her sister, Epifania Rascon of San Ignacio, Chihuahua, Mexico; her brothers, Manuel Espinoza of Edmonson, TX and Abdon Espinoza of Anson; her grandchildren, Adrian De Lira, Sandra Sbong, Jose Antonio Valenzuela, Jr., Andrew Valenzuela, Yvonn Valenzuela-Kent, Lorenzo Valenzuela, Jr., Aaron Valenzuela, Adam Valenzuela, Abel Valenzuela, and Vivien Gutierrez; and her great-grandchildren, Delilah Sbong, Kira Sbong, Athena Sbong, Marcelo Valenzuela-Kent, Leandro Valenzuela-Kent, and Amelia Valenzuela-Kent.
