Marisol Guadalupe Ramirez, 18, of Slaton, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
There will be combined services for Marisol and Araceli Valdez.
A Rosary Service will be at 6:00 pm Monday, January 19, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slaton. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Marisol was born on July 20, 2007 in Lubbock to Osvaldo Ramirez and Martha Herrera. She attended Lamesa High School briefly and was in the Marching Band. She graduated in 2024 from Sands High School in Ackerly. She worked as a parts clerk at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Slaton and enjoyed wielding on cars. Music served as both a crucial emotional release and fundamental essence of her being, part of that was playing her vinyl records. She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts and taking care of her plants. She was into drawing, astronomy, anime, and collecting gems and rocks and snow globes. Her favorite thing to do was to travel and take pictures on her trips.
“Marisol was a passionate soul whose love for others knew no limit. Her care was genuine, her loyalty unwavering, and she would go to the ends of the earth for those she held close.”
She is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Herrera.
Marisol is survived by her father, Osvaldo Ramirez and stepmother, Adrianna Flores of Levelland; her brothers, Juandiego Ramirez and Marcelino Adrian Ramirez, both of Levelland; her grandparents, Raul and Socorro Flores of Levelland; her aunt, Crystal Flores of Levelland; and her uncle, Jacob Flores of Levelland.
