Martin Davila Jr. passed away Monday, May 15, 2023. 

Viewing will be 12:00 pm-5:00 pm with a visitation from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm Wednesday, May 17, 2023 followed by a Rosary at 6:00 pm at Englunds Chapel. Graveside Services will be 10:00 am  Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.  Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Martin was born to Martin and Guadalupe Davila on March 16, 1953 in Slaton. Martin aka “Uncle Marty” was many things to many people. The fixer, the builder, the brother, the protector, the uncle, the jokester, a son, a Dad and his favorite title, Grandpa. He was old school with a heart of gold. He loved giving little treats to all our littles. All in all, he meant so much to so many. A cornerstone of the Davila family. Gone today, but forever in our hearts and memories. As he would say to us on his way out…..“Laters”

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Martha Martinez.

Martin is survived by his son, Michael Davila; his sister Carol Arguello-Rios and her husband, Rudy Rios; his brother Robert Davila and his wife, Annette Garza; his raised as sister, Vanesa Solis and her husband, Alfonso Solis Jr; and two grandsons Nathan and Elijah Davila.
