Martina Hernandez, 58, of Lubbock, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023.

Viewing will be at 9:00 am Monday, April 10, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton, followed by a Rosary Service at 9:30 am. A Celebration of Mass Service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Martina was born on August 16, 1964 in Slaton to Pedro and Esperanza Rocha. She moved to Roswell in 1995 where she later worked as a detention officer at Chavez County Detention Center. Several years later she moved back to Lubbock and continued working with MHMR for 19 years. Martina was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and was active with the Guadalupanas and the Crusillistas. She loved spending time with her family and friends playing Loteria, grilling and barbecuing, and spending time with her church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Timothy Rocha.

Martina is survived by her daughters, Maegan Hernandez, Claudea Hernandez and Laura Hernandez, all of Lubbock; her sister, Diana Moreno of Lubbock; and her grandchildren, Alyana and Analysia.
