Mary Bernal

 Mary Bernal, 71, of Slaton, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

Viewing will be 12:00-6:00 pm Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Englunds.  Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Monday, March 8, 2021 at Mighty Oak Assembly of God Church in Slaton.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Southland. Social distancing and mask are required at the funeral home and cemetery. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Mary was born November 8, 1949 in Slaton to Pablo and Margarita Pequeno. She married Daniel Bernal June 25, 1968 in Midland. She was a lady of simplicity who enjoyed her family and her personal time with Jesus through prayer and bible reading. She will be remembered by her faith and devotion she had for the Lord and her beautiful talent she had as a pianolist. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death her parents.

Mary is survived by her husband; her daughters, Mary Torres and her husband, Johnny of Hereford and Sylvia Bernal of Arlington; her sons, Daniel Jr. and his wife Gloria of Lubbock, Antonio and his wife, Ariel of Austin, Domingo and his wife, Cindy of Slaton, Paulino and his wife Ann Marie of Slaton and Sylvester and his wife, Cassandra of Slaton;  her sisters, Tommie Pequeno of Midland, Paula Ceniceros of Midland, Esperanza Luna of Uvalde, Naomi Pequeno of Lubbock and Eva Martinez of Slaton; her brothers, Paul Pequeno of Midland and Sam Pequeno and his wife, Margie of Missouri;  26 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
