Mary Jane Garcia

Mary Jane Garcia, 77, of Lubbock, passed away on October 5, 2023.

Viewing will be 11:00 am-6:00 pm Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Englunds, followed by a 6:00 pm rosary Service. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton.  Private interment will take place at a later date at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Mary Jane was born on June 20, 1946, in Slaton to Ernesto and Elizabeth Alvarado. She was a beautician for over 50 years, touching many lives.  She loved camping and the outdoors and enjoyed going to casinos and playing bingo. Mary Jane especially loved her grandchildren and would do anything for them. She will be greatly missed by her family, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Melisa Ann Garcia; her sister, Josie Alvarado; and her brother, Ruben Alvarado.

Mary Jane is survived by her daughters, Cecilia Davila of Slaton, and Natalie Garcia of Lubbock; her sons, Natividad Garcia III and Michael Garcia, both of Slaton; her sister, Ernestine Perez of Slaton; eighteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
