Mary Munoz

Mary Munoz, 90, of Lubbock, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Englunds Chapel. Mass Services will be at 10:30 am Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.  Private family viewing only. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. 

Mary was born March 7, 1932 in Westhoff to Tedero and Maria Munoz. Mary lived most of her life in Hobbs, NM. She worked for many years as a housekeeper and retired after 12 years of service from Lea Regional Hospital in Hobbs.  She was a member St. Helena Catholic Church in Hobbs. Mary was loved by all and enjoyed working in her garden.

She is preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers and two sisters.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Cisneros of Lubbock and Diana Betancur of Hobbs; her sons, Johnny Betancur and his wife, Claudia of San Antonio and Hector Betancur and his wife, Ada of Lubbock; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
