Mary Frances (Campbell) Wilke, age 91, of Wilson, Texas, passed away on February 9, 2025. She was born on January 27, 1934, in Blum, Texas to the late Pat and Beulah Campbell. 

Visitation will be Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 5:00-6:30 pm at Englunds Funeral Chapel, 1400 W. Woodrow Rd., Slaton, Texas. Funeral services for Mary will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wilson, 1305 Dickson Avenue. Pastor Tonda Freitag will officiate at the service.  Final rites and interment will follow at Green Memorial Park Cemetery in Wilson under the personal care and direction of Englunds Funeral Service.

Mary grew up in Wilson, Texas and graduated from Wilson High School, then attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock.

Mary married Carlton Wallace Wilke on August 22, 1953, at First Baptist Church of Wilson.  They lived 63 years together on cotton farms in Southland, Texas, then Wilson, Texas.

Mary had a very special God-given gift – she played the piano and organ for a combined 65 years at the Baptist Church and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wilson.  Carlton and her children knew that on Saturday afternoons Mary could always be found practicing the organ or piano at church to be ready to play songs for Sunday’s church service.  Her faithful dedication and devotion to this service was tireless!

Those left to honor and cherish Mary’s memory include daughter Dina Jean Tehan of Carrollton,

Texas, daughter Janet Frances Ibarguen and her husband, Steve of Dallas, son Wesley Carlton Wilke and his wife, Dora of Wilson, and son Kendall Wade Wilke of Wilson, along with 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband Carlton Wallace Wilke on July 4, 2016, and by her daughter Carla Cay Cavender on June 28, 2022.
