Mary Ann Worley, 74, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Viewing will be 11-6 on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, followed by a 6:00 pm visitation at Englunds Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Englunds Chapel. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

She was born on May 12, 1950 in Slaton to Edward and Mary Gaydos. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Slaton.  Mary Ann worked at Slaton Steak House for many years before purchasing it in 1984. She operated it until her retirement in November of 2016. She was a hard worker and loved her game shows and her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rex Thomas, her sister, Janice Chancellor, and her brothers, Alan Gaydos and Edward Gaydos, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Eric Worley, and Eldon and Sylvia Worley, all of Slaton; her sisters, Linda Lankford of Slaton, and Patsy Koontz and her husband, Wayne of Brownwood; her brothers, Tommy Gaydos of Slaton, Timmy Gaydos and his wife, Rene of Justiceburg, Mike Gaydos and Susan of Slaton, and Mark Gaydos and his wife, Mary Jane of Slaton; her grandchildren, Jonah Worley and Vance Worley, Richard Ramirez, and Madison Meurer and her husband, Bryce; and her great-grandchildren, Posie and Magnus Meurer.
