Mia Raquel Riojas, 28, of Slaton, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

Family viewing only except during Rosary Service which will be at 6:00 pm Friday, September 12, 2025, at Englunds Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Englunds Chapel. Cremation to follow.

Mia Raquel Riojas  was born on April 15, 1997 in Lubbock to Veronica Gonzales and Alfredo Riojas, Jr. She graduated from Slaton High School in 2014. She then attended school at Job core and was recently completing her Pharmacy tech class.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Sarah Gonzales and also her grandfather, Alfredo Riojas.

Mia is survived by her daughter Luna Rae Dyer; her boyfriend, Denton “D. J.” Dyer; her parents Veronica Gonzales and Alfredo Riojas Jr., all of Slaton; her brothers Damien Riojas of Albuquerque, NM, and Isaiah Riojas of Slaton; her sisters, Samantha Mora and husband Israel Ledesma both of Lubbock,  Zariah Riojas of Lubbock; and her grandparents Isaac Gonzales of Lubbock. Felecita Riojas and Carmen Quintero both of Slaton. Her nieces, Naiomi S Riojas of Slaton, Leah Mora of Lubbock, and Ivy Ledesma of Lubbock. Nephews, Isaiah Lee Ledesma of Lubbock and Lucas Riojas of Albuquerque NM.; her God Mother Tammi Riojas of Slaton; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Mia Raquel Riojas had a good heart and had so many that Loved her. She loved rock music with passion. She loved Panda Bears and Lamas. She was very funny and could make anybody smile and laugh so hard. She had a great mind and would tell it like it was without holding back how she felt. Mia loved her family very much. She was a great Mother and loved her daughter Luna with all her heart. She adored her Boyfriend DJ of over 8yrs and was anxiously waiting to marry him. She was going back to school to become a Pharmacy Tech and wanted to also attend Nursing School. She was looking forward to branching off and starting a new chapter in life in Oklahoma or Albuquerque with her family. She loved her dogs very much Bubba, Athena, and Zoe. We will miss her little sayings and her smile, we will miss everything about her.
