Michael John Gatzki Obituary

Michael John Gatzki, 77, of Wilson passed away at home on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.  He was born August 28, 1947 in Carlsbad, N.M.


Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. at Englunds Funeral Chapel with graveside services to follow at 10:30 A.M. at Green Memorial Park Cemetery at Wilson, Texas.


He graduated from Wilson High School in 1965 and attended San Angelo State.  When he was out of college, he went to work at the Gatzki Gin.  He worked as a ginner in Wilson, Seagraves, Corpus Christi and Georgia and later drove module trucks.  He retired in 2021.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wilson.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Virginia Gatzki.


He is survived by three sons, Michael John Gatzki II of Lubbock,  Anthony Scott Gatzki of Wilson, Kent Mathias Gatzki  and his wife Tara of McKinney, TX; two sisters, Gini Hartman of Odessa, Florida and Jan Koslan and her husband Mark of Abilene, TX.
