Mike Angerer

Mike Angerer, 72, of Slaton, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021.

Viewing will be 10:00 am-7:00 pm Monday, February 22, 2021 at Englunds. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.  Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. Social Distancing and mask are required.

Mike was born March 23, 1948 in Levelland to William and Gailya Angerer.  He graduated from Cooper High School in 1966 and from Texas Tech University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business.  He married Carol Kahlich on July 10, 1976 in Lubbock.  He worked in sales in plumbing before working at Gene Messer Ford for 26 years.  He loved to fish, golf and garden.  But mostly he cherished his time with his grandchildren, especially teaching them to play basketball.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Robert Angerer.

Mike is survived by his wife, Carol of Slaton; his daughters, Michelle Herrell and her husband, Nathan of Lubbock and Jennifer Houston and her husband, Brandon of Lubbock; his sons, Jason Angerer and his wife, Kimberly of Lubbock and Adam Angerer and his wife, Jo Beth of Lorenzo; his sisters, Linda Ayers of Lubbock, Martha Angerer of Woodrow, Paula Neal of Woodrow and Carol Webb and husband, Joey of Lubbock; his brothers, David Angerer and his wife, Coni of Woodrow and Joe Angerer of Woodrow; and his grandchildren, Sean, Emily, Cale, Chyann and Bella Angerer, Makayla, Kaden and Kendan Herrell, and Cash Houston.

The family suggest memorials be made to the Senior Citizen Center or Meal on Wheels in Slaton.
