Natividad "Shorty" Delgado

Natividad “Shorty” Delgado, 82, of Slaton, passed away Sunday August 29, 2021.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm Thursday at Englunds Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Friday, September 3, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton. Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery. Arrangements by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Shorty was born September 8, 1938 in Lockhart to Matias and Juana Delgado. Natividad married his wife, Mary in Wilson on June 14th, 1969. He farmed for many years and later worked as a mechanic for Smith Ford. He retired as custodian of Centennial Bank in 2015. He was a Den Father in Cub Scouts and later was involved with the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed Nascar and spending time with his family and grandbabies.

He is preceded in death his parents; and his brothers, Santos and Paul Delgado.

Shorty is survived by his wife; his daughter, Amanda Romo and husband, Sam of Lubbock; his son Carlos Delgado and Shana Hurst of Wilson; his sisters, Susie Martinez and husband, Joe of Blue Mound, Janie Saldana of Muleshoe; his brothers Leon Delgado and wife, Juanita of Slaton, Lupe of Mansfield; and his grandchildren, Violet Delgado, Noah and Aiden Romo.
