Pansy Collins, 88, of Slaton, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Graveside Services will be 10:30 am Friday, January 13, 2023 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.   There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Pansy was born on February 18, 1934 in Slaton to Lucian and Alpha Sloan. She and Alvis Collins eloped to New Mexico and were married on March 22, 1952.  They owned and operated Dodd Gin Company in Castro County together and she was the bookkeeper. She was a huge Texas Tech Red Raider football and basketball fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her daughter, Terry Lynn Collins.

Pansy is survived by her son, Michael Collins of Slaton; her daughter, Shelley Van Hoff and her husband, Paul of Abilene; her grandson, Jordan Van Hoff and his wife, Callie; and her great-grandson, Beckett Van Hoff.
