Jerel Pat Pounds, 73, of Spur, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024. 

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Pat was born on January 25, 1951, in Lubbock to La Verne “L.V.” and Omega Marie Pounds. Pat graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in Animal Science. He went to work for Pioneer Seed in sales, before he became an Ag teacher for Roosevelt.  Later he went back into sales of manufactured homes before landing his ideal job as Manager for Clayton Cattle Feeders.  He retired in 2002. Pat enjoyed hunting and fishing with close friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Doug Pounds.

Pat is survived by his sons, Tanner Pounds and his wife, Krista of Idalou and Tracy Pounds and his wife, Hollie of Slaton; his grandchildren, Gage, Gentry, Halle and Coley Pounds; and his nephews.
