Pauline Garcia went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2025.
Viewing will be 11am-6pm Friday, November 28, 2025 at Englunds, followed by a Rosary Service at 6:00pm. Celebration of Mass will be at 10:00 am Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service in Slaton.
She was born in Marlin, Texas, to Christino and Rosa DeLaCruz on March 7, 1962. Pauline married the love of her life, Severo Garcia, on July 7, 1976, and together they built a beautiful life in Slaton while raising their children.
In her early years, Pauline devoted herself to being a loving stay-at-home mother. Later, she worked as a CNA at the Slaton Care Center, where she cared for others with compassion and dedication. She enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, planting flowers, and helping with farm work during harvest season. Pauline loved dancing to her favorite Spanish songs, cooking for her family, and playing poker and dice with those she loved most. She was also a life-long 49ers fan.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Severo Garcia; her sisters, Maria Mendoza, Diana Gutierrez, and Eva Sanchez; her brothers, Samuel DeLaCruz, Robert DeLaCruz and Jesse Uribe; two grandchildren, Arianna and Fabian Garcia; and a great-grandson, King Thomas.
She is survived by her brothers, Chris DeLaCruz (Tracy) of Lubbock, Tony DeLaCruz (Cruz) of Plainview, and Loretto DeLaCruz of Lubbock; her sisters, Linda Castaneda (Coy) of Lubbock, Isabel Garcia (Joe) of Lubbock, Joann Hernandez (Eugene) of Lubbock, Betty Sanchez (Freddie) of Lubbock, and Bobbie Sanchez (Joe) of Lubbock; her eight children, Severo Garcia Jr. (Rosie) of Kyle; Rachel Garcia (Jason) of Pflugerville; Ruben Garcia (Heather) of Slaton; Chris Garcia (Marisa) of Slaton; Luis Garcia (Jessica) of Slaton; Raymond Garcia (Annette) of Slaton; Mary Garcia (Darrin) of Slaton; and Selena Garcia of Kyle; along with 27 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
