Phyliss White

Phyliss Renee White, a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on April 26, 2023. She was 59 years old when she entered the gates of heaven.

In honor of Phyliss, her loved ones will be holding a celebration of life on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 2:00pm at Englunds Funeral Chapel in Slaton. We invite anyone who knew her to attend and remember her life.  

Phyliss was born in Slaton, Texas on February 23, 1964, to Harold and Lola Moore. She graduated from Slaton High School in 1982 and went on to get her LVN license at South Plains College. She spent her professional career caring for patients as a clinic nurse. Phyliss married Stan White on January 15, 1983. They were married for over 40 years at the time of her passing. Together, they raised three children: Jake (Ann Marie) White, Kress (Emily) White, and Jennifer White. Phyliss was a proud Nani to 6 grandchildren: Cason, Eva, Tucker, Lee, Claire, and Landon. She also leaves behind a brother, Jeff (Mary) Moore. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lola Moore.

Phyliss’ greatest joy in life was her family. She had a servant’s heart and brought light to any room she was in. She had a great sense of humor, a joyful spirit, and the most contagious laugh. Phyliss was devoted to her family and genuinely cared about every detail of the lives of her loved ones. She was adored by her grandchildren and could often be found around the table playing games with them for hours on end. She had a knack for making everyone she met feel important and cared about.
