Rebecca “Becky” McCuiston Meeks, 82, of Slaton was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Thursday June 12, 2025.

Visitation will be on Wednesday June 18, 2025, at 10:00 am at Englunds, followed by Graveside Services at 11:00 a.m. at Englewood Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Rebecca “Becky” was born on September 12, 1942, in San Jose, California to Earl and Willie Lee McCuiston.   Rebecca “Becky” attended Tahoka schools and was a graduate of Tahoka High School, where she was an avid basketball player earning many honors on her High School Basketball team.   Rebecca “Becky” was a member of First Christian Church and married Carl Meeks on January 9, 1965, in Slaton where they raised 3 children, Kyle, Scott, and Kim.    Rebecca “Becky” celebrated over 57 years of married until the loss of the love of her life, Carl Meeks, in September of 2022.  Rebecca “Becky” enjoyed camping with her family and took many trips to New Mexico every summer, where they enjoyed fireside meals and fishing for trout in the mountains.   Rebecca “Becky” worked for Citizens State Bank, Slaton, Texas for over 33 years and was lead teller and vault teller for many years.       

Rebecca “Becky” is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Willie Lee McCuiston, husband Carl Meeks, and her brothers Lynn McCuiston and Levoy McCuiston.

Rebecca “Becky” is survived by her son Kyle Meeks of Decatur, her son, Scott and wife Robbie Meeks of Valley View, TX, her daughter, Kimberly and husband Joe Bryant of Chattanooga, TN, her brother Lesley McCuiston of Decatur, Texas, her sister Roxann Hamilton of Terrell, Texas, her grandchildren Caroline and Liam Bryant of Chattanooga, TN, and MaKynna “Mak” Meeks of Valley View, TX.
