Refujia Castillo

Refujia Castillo, 84, of Slaton, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020. 

Viewing will be from 9-5 Monday, November 23, 2020 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November, 24 2020 at Bible Baptist Church in Slaton.  Burial will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.  Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service. Due to social distancing and seating on every other pew, seating is limited and masks are required in the church and the funeral home. 

Refujia was born on July 4, 1936 in Calvert to Aurelio and Irene Hernandez. She married Marcus Castillo in Calvert in April of 1956 and they moved to Slaton. She loved cooking and was a hard worker with great work ethic. She loved spending time with her family especially on holidays. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter Irene Castillo; her sons Ralph Castillo and Andrew Castillo; two sisters; her brother; and her granddaughter Francisca Ramirez. 

Refujia is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Todd and her husband Leroy of Slaton, Rosalinda Ysasaga and her husband Jimmy of Slaton, Lisa Castillo of Fort Worth and Martha Castillo of Lubbock, her sons, Willy Castillo of Slaton, Jesse Castillo of Slaton, Ricky Castillo and his wife Samantha of Lubbock and Edward Castillo and his wife Mary of Slaton; thirty one grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
