Richard Kent Thomas, 84, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away Friday, May, 17, 2024, in Little Rock.
Visitation will be 9:00 am-11:00 am Friday, May 24, 2024, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Englunds Chapel in Slaton. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. There will be a memorial service held in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Richard was born July 10, 1939 in San Angelo, Texas to William “Jud” and Pherne (Sandlin) Thomas. Richard was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He and Linda were married January 29, 1959. He loved the great outdoors, golfing, hunting and fishing. He always said that he was “seldom” wrong but never in doubt.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his son Michael Wade Thomas and his brother-in-law, Travis Lancaster.
Richard is survived by his wife of 65 years, Linda Thomas, son Phillip K. (Lisa) Thomas, grandchildren, Kirsten (Michael) DeMoss, Devin Thomas, Brenda Thomas and Mason Sandner, great grands, Leyla Chapa, Kaden Delgado and Hudson DeMoss, sisters, Judy (Dwight) Davis, Joanne Lancaster and Jacque (John Craig) Davidson and brother, Don (Terri) Caldwell, nieces, nephews along with a host of other family and friends.
