Robert “Jingos” Hiracheta, 58, of New Home, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021.
Rosary services will be at 5:00 pm Sunday, May 30, 2021 in Englunds Chapel in Slaton. Celebration of life mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021, in Wilson at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church under the direction of England Funeral Service of Slaton. Interment will follow in Tahoka at Nevels Memorial Cemetery.
Robert was born in Tahoka, Texas, on April 28, 1963 to Moises and Hilaria Hiracheta. He graduated from New Home High School and joined the workforce. He began working for Horn & Gladden Gin Machinery, as a foreman, for many years. Robert then started driving his own truck hauling cotton and steel. In his later years, he worked with his son’s growing their own business along with farming and custom harvesting.
Robert never met a stranger. He loved to talk and joke around with everyone that he came in contact with. He spent his free time enjoying the atmosphere at Caprock Cafe along with an ice cold Shiner.
Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Hiracheta, father, Moises Hiracheta, and his grandparents.
He is survived by his sons, Kristopher (Lindsey) Hiracheta of Acuff and Chase (Nicole) Hiracheta of Midland; his mother, Hilaria Hiracheta of New Home; his sister Nancy (Joey) Stults of Weatherford; and grandchildren, Hunter, Kooper, Kacen, Koe, and Koleson.
