Robert Mark Parker Obituary
Robert Mark Parker, 62, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, in Lubbock.
Mark’s family will accept visitors from 10 - 11 am Friday, May 3, 2024, at St. Luke’s Central Campus in Lubbock immediately followed by Funeral Services at 11 am. Interment to follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Mark was born on January 25, 1962, in Dumas, to Bobby Dan and Neva Nell Parker. He graduated from Dumas high school in 1980 and attended Texas Tech University. Mark married Sandra Stabeno on December 13, 1997. He worked in road construction most of his life starting at Williams and Peters, then Granite Construction and was currently employed by Allen Butler Construction.
Mark enjoyed watching “how to” videos, documentaries and traveling when he and his wife were able. To his grandkids, he was known as Pops, and Pops always loved spending time with and supporting his grandchildren! He attended soccer games, baseball games, football games, basketball games as well as stock shows! If one thing can be said, Mark was a very smart man, a generous person and he never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law and his wife of 25 years, Sandra.
Mark is survived by his son, Shaun Stabeno and his wife, Siobhan of Lubbock; his daughter, Shandi Stabeno of Lubbock; his brother, Bryan Hudson and his wife, Nona of Dumas; his nephew, Bobby Hudson and fiancée Brandi Fortson of Dumas; his grandchildren, Alexa Wigley and her husband, Phillip, Aiden Stubblefield, Anderson Kerr, Emmy Stabeno, and great-grandchildren, Kensley and Krue Wigley.
Mark’s family would like to thank the staff at Covenant Medical Center, Pastor Andy Hurst of St. Luke’s, as well as all his friends and family at Allen Butler Construction.
