Roberto “Robert”  Valdez, 75, of Slaton, passed away on April 15, 2023. 

A family led Rosary will be said at 9:30 am Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton followed by a family led Memorial Mass at 11:00 am.

Robert was born December 2, 1947 in Pierce, Texas to Francisco and Victoria Valdez. He loved to play his Bajo sexto, a 12-string guitar, and was a member of Los Hermanos Valdez, a musical group.

He is proceeded in death by his loving parents; and his brothers, Juan, Joe Manuel, and Reynaldo Valdez, and Francisco Valdez, Jr.

Robert is survived by his sons, Jerry Valdez and his wife, Maria of Gothenburg, NE and Charles Valdez of North Platte, NE; his sisters, Francisca DeLaRosa of San Antonio, Mary Ruiz of Slaton, and Senaida “Sandra” Valdez of Slaton; his brothers, Fidel Valdez and his wife, Juanita and Fidencio “Dan” and his wife, Josie, all of Fort Worth, and Pedro Valdez and his wife, Janie of Wilson; and his two grandchildren.
