Rod Klemke

Rod Klemke, 81, of Slaton, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

A Memorial Service will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Slaton Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Rod was born on September 24, 1942, in Fremont, Nebraska to Alvin and Velma Klemke. He married Judy Boyd in Slaton, and they were together for over 40 years. Being an integral part of Slaton, he owned and operated Klemke’s Sausage Haus for 32 years. His passion was hard work and he loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Todd Klemke; his sister, Barbara Derby; and his brother, Larry Klemke.

Rod is survived by his daughter, Hayley Klemke of Slaton; his son, Troy Klemke and his wife, Stacy of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials be made to Slaton Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
