Obituary
Roland Cardenas, 25, of Lubbock, passed away Friday June 23, 2023.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Englunds Chapel. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 am Friday, June 30, 2023 at Bible Baptist in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Roland was born on September 24, 1997 and was adopted at the age of 11 months by Efrain “Frank” and Eliodora “Lola” Cardenas. He graduated from Slaton High School in 2015. Roland worked at Pyco Industry, Inc. as a solvent plant operator. He loved sports, playing baseball, basketball, and football himself and loved fishing.
Roland was preceded in death by his grandparents, Benito and Dionosia Cardenas and Manuel and Trinidad Olivarez; one aunt; and eight uncles.
He is survived by his daughter, Zayleigh Cardenas of Slaton; his son, Zayvyan Cardenas of Slaton; his parents, Frank and Lola Cardenas of Slaton; his sister, Marisol Salameh and her spouse, Amber Salameh of Lubbock; and his brother, Eugene Cardenas (Anadina) of Richardson.
