Ronald (Ronnie) Perdue of Slaton, 74, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
Viewing will be 11:00 am-6:00 pm Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Englunds. Visitation will follow from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, May 6, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Ronnie was born September 21, 1947 in Slaton to Lynn and Frankie Perdue. He graduated from Slaton High School in 1966. Ronnie married Sheron Stancil September 4, 1969. He worked for BNSF, retiring as a conductor after 33 years of service. Ronnie was also a co-owner of Building Blocks Learning Center in Slaton. He was an avid supporter of all youth activities for his kids and grandchildren. Ronnie loved drinking coffee with friends at the Slaton Bakery. He was member of First Baptist Church in Slaton. Ronnie was a Mason and past Master of Slaton Lodge 1094. He was a recent recipient of the Golden Trowel Award.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Frankie Perdue and his in-laws, Frank and Daphene Stancil.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sheron of Slaton; his son, Tim and his wife, Jill of Easton, PA; his daughters, Kimberli Carpenter and her husband, Chad of Slaton and Ginger and her husband, Shon Overton of Abilene; his sister, Sharon Sundeen and her husband, Carl of Southlake; his grandchildren, Brendan and Natalie Ilseng, Makenzie Perdue and her fiance, Jack Graham, Natalie Perdue, Colby Pennell, Dalton Davis, Kalli Davis, Shon Michael Overton and Mallory Perdue; his great-grandchild, Margot Ilseng; his fur baby, Sadie Grace and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
