Rosa Muniz, 64, of Slaton, passed away on January 28, 2021. 

Viewing will be 1-5 pm Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be 10:30 am Monday, February 1, 2021 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. 

Rosa was born on June 25, 1956 in Mexico to Dario and Sabina Barron.  She lived in Mexico until the age of 16 when she moved to South Texas and soon met Francisco Muniz.  They married about 3 years later and moved to Slaton.  They celebrated 47 years of marriage.  She was one of the best cooks ever and often shared her food with her neighbors.  She loved spending time with her family. 

She is preceded in death by her father; and her daughter, Veronica Muniz. 

Rosa is survived by her husband, Francisco; her daughters, Maria Martinez of Lubbock and Lorena Medina and her husband, Jorge of Lamesa; her son, Juan Muniz and his wife, Stacy of Slaton; her mother, Sabina Moreno of Mexico; twelve sisters; ten brothers; twelve grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
