Santiago Correa, 92 of New Home, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
Viewing will be 10:00-8:00 pm Friday, June 11, 2021 at Englunds. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Englunds Chapel in Slaton. Interment will follow at Green Memorial Park in Wilson. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service.
Santiago was born in Atascosa, Texas on July 10, 1928 to Andreas and Frances Correa. He married Maria Torres in 1945 in Dilley, Texas. He was a farmer and a Vaquero. Santiago never met a stranger and was a very happy person. He was very loved by his family and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his daughter, Sylvia Gonzales; his brothers, Manuel and Rogelio Correa; his sister, Darla Rodriguez and his grandson, Andy Correa.
Santiago is survived by his daughters, Olga Hiracheta of Spicewood, Frances Caballero and her husband, Leroy of New Home and Gloria Manheart and her husband, Steve of Littlerock, Arkansas; his sons, Alfred Correa and his wife, Stella of Lubbock, Raymond Correa and his wife, Margaret of New Home, Alex Correa of Lubbock and Jimmy Correa of Washington, D.C.; his sisters, Eva Sepeda of Dimmit and Mary Fida of Lawrence, Kansas; his brother George Correa of Dilley, Texas; nineteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
