Teresa Rubio Dabila Salazar

Teresa Rubio Dabila Salazar, 89 of Slaton, passed away on October 2, 2023.

Viewing will be 11:00 am – 6:00 pm Friday, October 6, 2023, at Englunds, followed by a 6:00 pm Rosary Service. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.

Teresa was born on August 5, 1934, in Slaton to Vicente and Maria Dolores Rubio. In the past, she had been an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lubbock and later she became a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton and participated in various groups such as Guadalupanas, Cursillistas, and the Sacred Heart Society.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Raymond Dabila and Raymond Salazar; her sister, Frances R. Mendez; and her brothers, Jose C. and Domingo V. Rubio.

Teresa is survived by her sons, Arturo Dabila and his wife, Hope, Thomas Dabila and his wife, Josie, and Raymond Andy Dabila, all of Slaton; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
