Virginia was born in Slaton on March 21, 1949 to Dan, Sr. and Josefa (Olguin) Aguirre. She was known for her generosity and kindness – she was always willing to help and take care of everyone and had a reputation for being “everyone’s favorite Aunt.” She was also a fierce “Mama Bear” who protected her kids but also knew how to keep them in line. She had a great sense of humor and her family will miss her quick wit.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Christopher and Vincent Segovia; a sister, Cruz Rodriguez; and 3 brothers, Walle, Arnulfo and Carlos Aguirre.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Cliofas Raymond Almanza; 2 daughters, Brenda Segovia and Marie Rios (Robert); 4 sons, Luis Segovia (Isabel), Gilbert Segovia (Simona), David Segovia, and Frankie Maldonado; 2 sisters, Amelia Ordaz (Jesus), Eloisa Robles (Richard); a brother, Dan Aguirre, Jr.; 26 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
