William “Bill” Johnson,63, of Lubbock, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Englunds Chapel in Slaton. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.

Bill was born on June 7, 1961, in Slaton, to W. J. “Red” and Margaret Johnson.  He graduated from Roosevelt high school in 1980 and married Debbie Foster in 2006. “Wild” Bill was a truck driver for 26 years before being sidelined by dialysis. For the last four years he worked for South Plains Security. He enjoyed meeting people, going to church, and reading his bible. He loved NASCAR and football and had an infectious laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie of Lubbock; his daughter, Jennifer Johnson-Biggerstaff of Anchorage, Alaska; his sisters, Rose Johnson of Lubbock and Nita Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio; his niece, Christina Hoople; 2 great-nieces; 1 great nephew; and 1 great-great nephew.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
