William "Bill" Knott

William “Bill” Knott, 91, of Slaton passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021.Viewing will be 9-5, Thursday and Friday, January 21-22 at the funeral home.  Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.  Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. Bill was born on April 4, 1929 in Amarillo to Clair and Lydia Lichey Knott. His family moved to Lynn county when he was a baby.  He graduated from Cooper High School and began farming, and did so until he retired. He and Tom enjoyed many road trips to South Dakota. Bill could often be found at J J’s Café and will be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Tom Knott. Bill is survived by his sisters, Helen Gerlach and Carol Ann Gerlach and her husband, Norbert, all of South Dakota; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
