Marion Yolane Hartsfield, nee Hodge, was born January 11, 1948, to Marion C. and Frances O. Hodge.   Yolane died February 27, 2026. She lived a varied and full life.  From her first marriage, Yolane had two daughters, Dianne and Melissa, of whom she was very proud and loved endlessly.

Yolane married the love of her life, Timothy Hartsield, who after 36 years of marriage, pre-deceased her.

Yolane was also blessed with family by blood, marriage, and choice, holding each close in her heart.  Her older sister, Carol Sue Adkins pre-deceased Yolane.  She is survived by her daughters, her brothers, Jordan Hodge (Sharon), and John Hodge (Kay).   

For those who need to hear, Yolane spoke of friends, neighbors, and former co-workers with humor, respect, and love.  She felt blessed to have so many in her life. 

To many strangers and organizations, Yolane offered help and love.  She was a very private person and always hoped to remain anonymous. She was quick to compliment others, letting people know they were seen and appreciated. Yolane would often say “I’m hoping to get into heaven.”

May the gates be open for Yolane and she be greeted with “well done my child.’

A Family Led Interment Service will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday,  June 13, 2026 at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton, Texas. Cremation services were under the care of Englunds Funeral Services of Slaton.
